Who wouldn't like to change even a little bit of their daily habits, especially when it comes to the food regime and adopt a lighter diet, even a more balanced one based more on natural and organic food products, which are both tasteful and full of nutrients good for our health? But let's face it- most of us don't really afford either to do our basic groceries to specialized shops that sell this sort of products, either we lack necessary time to do it as often as we would want to. Yet, none of us denies the true benefits of an organic diet, rich in vitamins and olygo elements which protect our entire body and help us fight more efficiently against diseases and viruses, as well as to grow strong and healthy.
But thank God, in the last decade, the main market of organic and green food products has developed massively, and now basically everything you would wish for it is sold also in its "green" option. And when I say anything, I truly mean anything- from sauces to dressings, fruits, vegetables, meats or even ready-to-serve dishes, they all went green in the constant desire to satisfy even the most demanding clients on the market! And the basic economic rule says that where there is demand, there is also a supply, willing to fulfill those clients' demands.

This is why, during the last decade, countless firms and corporations dealing with organic and natural products have developed, trying to cover this need of humans to live a greener life, to breath a more fresh air and to return to the "inocent" values that our ancestors had.
One of these firms is represented by Green Valley Food products, Inc., which is one of the best in the area with a more than national recognition. The firm is based in the city of Dallas, Texas and follows the strict standards and requirements of the Brassica Sprout Group. The company's catchy motto, "Let's Grow Healthy Together" emphasizes the company's mission to provide healthy seeds and products to the consumers, so that they can grow healthy crops or eat healthier meals with organic abd tasteful products.

Their products are sold in a various number of shops and supermarkets, including Walmart, Tom Thumb and Whole Food, and among the products sold you can easily identify some of the following: spicy sprouts, soy bean sprouts, tofu, wheat grass, broccoli sprouts, as well as snow pea sprouts or onion sprouts.
If you join Green Valley Food's website, at www.greenvalleyfood.com, you will also find a section with tasteful and mouth-watering recipes which you can too try, of course with the help of their additional products. My suggestions are, by far, the Veggie Omelet with BroccoSprouts or the Vegetable Pizza. Or why not go mediteranean with the Greek Stuffed Chicken, of course, with the BroccoSprouts. All I have to say more is bon appetit and enjoy a healthy life style with Green Valley products company!
Are Go Green Products Getting Cheaper
Published on Jun 17 2010, in the categories: green products
We got used to a certain life standard. We got used to having everything we need, whenever we need, and we certainly are used to paying important amounts of money to get exactly what we want. Sure, this isn't a bad thing as long as we do have the necessary money, but have you ever considered about the amounts of money you could spare in a month by making small to unseasable concessions, here and there? Besides the fact that nature needs us all to take care of it or at least stop destroying it, going eco might help you save you enough money to enjoy maybe a vacation in an exotic place or just some days off, far from all the city fuss.
Another way you could help nature is by start buying the so called green products, made out of natural and organic ingredients, with essential oils and other plant extracts which will benefit your skin but not only. And the best part of them all is that you won't have to pay fortunes either to be enjoying this life standard, full of freshness and nature. Why? Because, just as any other product, the green market was launched as a revolution decades ago, when prices for even most common food products were extremely high, so that not too many people could actually afford buying eco and organic. But as technologies evolved and the demand rose very much, the offer also started becoming more generous, as more and more people went opening green businesses.

The result? In the present, green products are no longer considered a luxury and regular people can also afford going to the grocery store and buy local farmer products, use a plant-based face cream or buy an agenda which is using recycled paper. Prices dropped down even up to 80% in the cases of basic food products such as fruits, meats or vegetables. So, yes, green products are going cheaper and this thing can only please us, the final consumers, who are in constant look for organic and natural products, so that we all have a healthier life style, defend against diseases better and live longer.

Other good news come from the fact that in the last few years the online offer has also developed massively, putting pressure on competitors to lower their prices as they still have to offer the same or even better quality of their products; the dotcom businesses have become great hits, especially in the green market, as companies rather sell their products via internet and not deal with large costs of depositing and handleing a normal shop, and they can focus better on offering fresh, clean, non toxic and organic products, exactly what clients need.
Kids Green Products

This is why, in the last few years, the baby industry has come up with a brand new branch, actually a very successful one, the line of green and organic products for our kids. From diapers to healthy food products, natural creams and cosmetics paraben and scent free, essential oils and organic toys to even organic clothes- everything that's green and for babies, it is for sale with a huge success among mothers worldwide! Because, as you all mommies already know, from the minute you have birth to that little miracle, you stop being your number one priority and your new universe center is the baby who requires loads of love and constant care am pampering.Bamboo Long Sleeve Kimono Snapsuit, 0-12 months, $20 from greenhome.com

On your way to maternity, make sure you have everything ready- from towels to crib, toys, all in order for your precious baby! Don't forget the most important- diapers and clothes. If you are not sure yet what clothes to chose, don't go around snob stores buying ultra expensive designer clothes which will only fit your kid for a couple of days. Besides the fact they are not practical at all and are over expensive, they won't protect and keep your baby's hygiene either.
My suggestion is to go in search for organic clothing because infants are even more prone to allergies and are extra sensitive than bigger kids, it is highly important you, dear mommy, quit any synthetic material you have in mind. Greenhome.com recommends products made from 100% chemically untreated cotton because it allows the skin to breathe and doesn't emit toxic vapors from pesticides used in manufacturing.

And there is a full line of baby clothing you can chose from, whether you're in search for cute little blankets, baby socks, rompers with foots, baby bath mitts or bodies. You can even chose one of the many gala costumes and special occasion dresses specially designed for special events from your baby's life, such as baptizing, weddings, showers or parties. Prices are very convenient also, so you not only will dress your kid in style and with 100% organic fabrics, but you will also save some important amounts of money you can later spend on useless things just for fun. Finding out about kids green products can prove to be very important for many of us.

We all love to eat, now don't we? We're constantly looking for new recipes, go to new restaurants, try exotic cousin filled with mesmerizing scents and spices and we fall in love, every time, with a new salad or a fresh dish out of fish or pork. Sure, there are countless recipes and cookbooks available on the market so that everyone, and I mean everyone, could learn how to become an excellent cook and compete with experimented chefs, if they truly want to learn the culinary art.
And after a well deserved home cooked meal, what's better than to sit over a cup of coffee, or, on the contrary, set the mood with a glass of red wine near the chimney? Yes, it truly sounds amazing, but what about all the mess left in the kitchen? What about those uncleaned, filled with grease plates and those dirty dishes, not to mention the mess and the dirty oven? Who's going to clean those out, and, especially, when if the mood is so good and you just want to chill out after a stressful day at work?
Of course, there are dozens of chemical solutions and products that promise they will help you clean out all the mess and leave all dishes clear as crystal, not to mention with a good and fresh smell. But are those chemical products really good for our health? Think it over, as more than 40% of the people who use chemical products to clean their houses develop allergies sooner or later, and even get serious complications that require hospital internment. In order to get your house all cleaned up without having to appeal to specialized firms that can cost you large amounts of money, green technologies promise you healthy and clean surfaces, all around!

And what are exactly those green technologies? Well, we all know that the green industry has developed massively during the last decade, as people have become more and more aware of the risks involved in the daily use of harmful, chemical products, and they appealed to organic alternative home made cleaning products and methods which not only will do the same good job, but will protect the environment as well. As for the difficult cleaning surfaces in the kitchen such as the oven, the green industry suggests you try some home made natural and organic products which will guarantee you the good work and will freshen up the zone as well.

Believe it or not, you can clean your oven safely with nothing but baking soda and water, so you should definitely give it a try. You can clean your oven without using strong chemicals bought from household companies, you can have an oven as fresh as new, without even scrubbing, just by using baking soda and normal water; the key is to use enough of the mineral.

Green Living Webquests For Students
Published on Jun 16 2010, in the categories: Living Green
Living green should be more than just a motto or a standard for most of us, but should become more of a common life style because, by respecting nature, we first respect ourselves. In our demanding daily activities we gather more stress than our ancestors gathered in years of war and hunger, not to mention the bad energies attracted and the anger of Mother Nature. And all of this for what? Hundreds of forests are being cut for profit purposes only, massive water and air pollution still exists in almost all cities across the globe, nature isn't respected at all and we all have a chaotic life style, without respecting any rules of decency or common sense consumerism.
And let's face it, among all, the first ones that draw themselves back from obeying the rules are the youngsters, who, by nature, defy any forms of regulations or laws. Youngsters and students tend to pollute the most by not carrying too much about the environment or considering the consequences of their actions. But, luckily, they don't teach them exclusively bad things in school, so that many of the students grow to become ecologists or activists, fighting for the rights of a cleaner and greener environment.

And while most of them are involved in real actions which combine recycling with charity and community service work as well as with the adoption of a more organic and natural life style, there are still some who think that the power of the word has a massive influence upon the masses. This is why, by actions from students to students, they try to draw attention upon the risks of an over consuming world and market and also try to sensitize the audition with touching quotes.

As you may probably guess, there are thousands of quotes and sayings regarding earth, the planet or ecologists actions; some were said by in deed revolutionary men, others are ancient sayings, but all in all, they summarize the quintessence of life itself and try to make people understand better what life truly is about and why nature is so important for us all. A true quote derived from an ancient Kenyan proverb says "Treat the Earth well. It was not given to you by your parents. It was loaned to you by your children", which is probably best suitable for students and youngsters who always think the world is theirs.

Another quote which should be taken seriously by students and start creating some positive feedback is the Viridian Design Manifesto which says "Do less, with less", a remark which clearly aimes to make people fully aware of the limited resources our planet has and start creating the same things only by using green technologies.
Best Way To Heat Water In A Green Home
Published on Jun 14 2010, in the categories: green home
The last decade started in a good shape for developers of green industries and products; the fascinating climbing of the whole green market was revealed in figures that outcame even the most optimistic results, people speaking now of billions of dollars invested in green technologies, organic products and green architectures, buildings or industrial goods. The good things? Finally, people are getting more aware and conscious about the prints they leave upon Earth and nature, and really start to show some appreciation for mother nature by actions which imply recycling, collecting litter, planting more trees or helping local farms to produce more natural and organic products which can be later sold in various shops.
Some other extra strong points? There was enough room for a new industry of goods to be developed, as well as the market of green buildings which gained popularity both in Europe as well as in the United States of America. More and more people are turning sites to a more responsible and natural life style, by buying organic food and care products, taking more care of the environment and building their houses according to the green standards of environment.

Green homes imply a lot of things, not only moving from over crowded and polluted big cities to the suburbs; building a green home means you first of all need some green materials such as wood, recycled plastic or other organic materials that might come in hand, including glass, bamboo wood and others. In addition, a green house always has to have green and efficient energy resources and use energy from solar panels, wind turbines or small water generators, enough to heat and keep the whole house moving. Speaking of energy based on water, there are numerous ways to keep water warm by applying green methods instead of conventional heating methods.
The first, most efficient and lass expensive method is to install solar panels throughout the house, that will capture solar energy and then convey it into energy which will power your plugins, TVs, air conditioning, computers and so on. You can also enjoy a nice warm bath because solar energy can provide you enough amounts of energy to do all your daily activities, without wondering about over consumption or fat bills at the end of the month. Not to mention it is the greenest and most effective way to use energy plus it will help you save enough money for a good vacation overseas where you won't have to worry about anything.

If you want to keep all your new green house warm throughout winter and chilly and cozy in the summer, you might want to consider the following: put your greenhouse somewhere sheltered, but where it can take full advantage of winter sun. And, first of al, don't heat more than you need to- divide your house into sections and only apply heating methods to those areas you frequently use; for example, there's no need to heat the guest room if you don't have guests or the extra bedroom if it's not used, the same way with bathrooms or kitchens which can become warm enough by turning in the oven.
Materials Used As Green Rating In Architecture
Published on Jun 14 2010, in the categories: Green arhitecture
Green building, also known as green architecture or sustainable building is the practice of creating structures and using processes that are responsible to the environment and use efficiently the resources given throughout the whole building's life cycle: "from siting to design, construction, operation, maintenance, renovation and deconstruction". This practice comes as an alternative to contemporary and industrial buildings that are now found all over the globe, which don't take care of environment and continue to massively pollute and destroy the nature we should all protect in stead.
Although new technologies are constantly being developed to contribute to a sustainable extinction towards the globe and to create greener structures, the common objective is that those green buildings diminish the overall impact of the built environment on human health and the nature by using the energy more efficiently, as well as water and other resources, protecting people against pollution and offering them greener alternatives to their jobs, or at least subventions for working in toxic environments such as mines or reducing the waste, pollution and all in all, the degradation of the environment which is no longer clean and green as we took it from our ancestors.

A similar concept but on a smaller scale is the so called natural building which tends to focus on the usage of natural and organic materials that are available locally as much as possible. There are several materials that are rated as being green and therefore, used in local constructions of homes and small buildings which protect and not harm the environment, such as wood and its composers, recycled plastic, natural fibers, glass, bamboo or even recycled rocks, toxic-free fabrics and paintings.

The goals of green building are many, but among them, the most important is reducing the pollution and help build a greener Earth both for us as well as for our children to come. The concept of sustainable development can be traced to the energy crisis and the environment pollution concern in the 1970s. Thus, people have started paying more attention to what effects these standard energy resources have upon lands and waters and tryed see into the future and looking for non abusive ways to light the streets and not only, by using solar panels which attracts solar energy, wind turbines and water centrals.

Yet, not only governments and ecologists have attended to this massive green movement, but more and more people from all milieus have started concerning about the environment also; this is why, we all are trying to make efforts for a more sustainable green life style, by buying local and organic products, using energy resources more effectively, by recycling and other small steps which, gathered together, can have a huge benefic impact upon environment, in addition to developers who are implementing more and more green technologies in their architectures and buildings.
Paolo Soleri And Green Architecture
Published on Jun 14 2010, in the categories: Green arhitecture
Since 1970 Soleri started his work at the foundation Arcosanti, which is a planned community for 5,000 people, located near Cordes Junction, in central Arizona. The basic concept which sustains the whole foundation is Soleri's concept of "Arcology", a fusion between architecture and ecology.
He states that an arcology is a hyper dense city projected to maximize human interaction, such as shared and cost effective infrastructure services. As seen, the concept is based on ecology and wants to respect the 3 basic rules or the 3 Rs as they are called in the specialized literature: reduce, reuse and recycle. The arcology also aims to reduce the use of hectic energy or, at least, to improve the conditions by using additional energy sources such as the wind power, solar power or water. All in all, the Arcosanti is the prototype of desert arcology, which has been the obsession of Soleri over the years.

Sure, arcology would have looked beautifully in theory, but from there and until it was actually built, there were thousands of persons that criticized the idea and didn't actually see it as sustainable in practice. These largely hypothetical structures would have featured a full range of residential, commercial and even agriculture facilities which would have reduced the impact people have upon the environment.
The contemporary society is confronting with loads of problems that have given serious thoughts to all scientists and country leaders, problems even more hard if not actually impossible to solve than the ones our ancestors confronted with. Lack of resources and most important, the over crowded population of Earth has been a concerning problem, especially in big countries such as China, India, United States or Germany.

These countries, but especially the first two are dealing now with massive unsustained populations and will soon face another problem, the one of insufficient resources to feed them. And while solutions are given too many, even through science-fiction shows or genocide, viable ones are yet to come.

Here interferes the archictect Paolo Soleri and his green architecture concepts; in his book, "Arcology: The City in the Image of Man", the author comes up with ways of compacting the already existent city structures in three dimensions in order to combat the two-dimensional urban sprawl. This, and in addition some really sustainable and green technologies are to be used in the future to have a harmonic development of conurbations so that people would be affected less by global warming and other contemporary issues.
Funky Green Architecture
Published on Jun 13 2010, in the categories: Green arhitecture
Buildings are not what they were decades ago, all gray and copies, with same design, used materials, features and dullness. More and more outrageous buildings come up over the night, inventivity has no limits and true art is expressed by remarkable shapes, angles, forms, designs, sustainability and so on. This is why architecture has gained its rights throughout history as being an art full of expressiveness and innovations, whether we talk about shapes, colors or materials used.

And while all architects are looking for something even more shocking or eye-catching, many others turn their sights towards green architecture, using recycled and environmentally friendly products, effective energy resources and producing beneficial actions to earth and its green life. Natural and organic materials such as wood, glass, paper or recycled plastic are being used to create future homes and buildings that are more safe, consume less and not influence in a negative way nature by gas emissions or noxes or contributing to global warming.

So, under these circumstances, why not turning to a new phase of the green architecture and making it more funky and joyful? Why not shape it with humor, dress it up in bright colors or play with its whole concept if its possible, and moreover, green? Yet, if you're not really a fan of megalomenia, building small can also be fun and cozy, as well as natural and funky. Especially when it comes to building homes, houses always have to be just the right size for its occupants and their activities, to reduce the consumption of energy lost with heating or cooling and many others. The key to this is an efficient use of space, good organization and keeping possessions to a manageable level, meaning not having an over crowded place.

And if you like to keep your house or building in a more conservative shape, you can still get funky and green by using cool-shaped accessories; the funky fake green grass is always a solution to cover your house with and make it even more ecological in terms of eye vision. At least for neighbours and for your dog who will be more than thrilled.
