Green Architecture
In this article I am going to talk about the green architecture. The green architecture is just one of the branches of the green movement, which is getting more and more popular with each passing year. There is a reason for the increase in popularity of the green movement, green revolution, or whatever you would like to call it. People have realized that a change is required in order to protect the environment and in order to make sure that our future will be a safe and healthy one. Besides the green architecture, people are willing to make other changes as well. Some opt to drive green vehicles, other are willing to change their jobs, and so on.
There are various important elements related to the green architecture. First of all the green architecture’s main task is to conserve. Conservation is a main issue for the green architecture and there are many various ways of accomplishing this. Whether if is energy conservation or water conservation, the green buildings will be less consuming. For example the low water toilets and the low flow shower heads will save lots of water. There are certain devices which capture the rain water, which can then be used for various things. One of those things is to water the plants or to use it at the toilets.

There are also various devices which can be used to save the energy. There are green televisions, green computers and so on which will use less energy. There are also green light bulbs which last way longer than the regular ones and which consume less energy. The green architecture is based on natural materials. These materials are eco-friendly, recyclable, and renewable. Being recyclable and renewable, they do not cause any damage to the environment, which makes them ideal. Usually these materials are local materials and that means that the costs for transportation will be reduced, and not to mention the pollution which have been resulted from the transportation.

The green architecture also uses alternative sources of energy. In most of the cases the solar power will be used, but other sources can be used as well. The solar power is the preferred method because it is the most accessible but the popularity of the wind turbines is on an increase as well. Some buildings use biomass as energy, which is obtained from plants. Other buildings use the hydro energy, but as I said, there are lots of options. These sources of energy are very clean and they do not cause any pollution to the atmosphere. Even if the initial costs of installing them might be kind of high, the costs will be absorbed in time as the bills will be lower.
