Taking a job is not an easy thing to do, especially on the economical conditions that we're under these days. Financial world crises, massive budgetary cutoffs, millions of unemployed people living on streets daily, in front of useless governments, that seem to not be taking any measures for the good of the population and the state. Under these conditions, no wonder that people are afraid of not losing their jobs over night or not being able to pay anymore their debts as state is cutting out funds and salaries to cover at least a small part of the budgetary deficit and not only. So it seems that all of us who have a place to work today should feel blessed and not even consider leaving it or moving to another sectors. Yet, even though hirings are not on top of companies' list, there might be a slight chance for them to find a job in the green sector which is, fortunately, constantly and sustainably developing.

So if you still have a hope in finding a decent payed job in this world chaos that we're living these days, you should focus more your attention on the green sector which is providing you with a source of many possible jobs to be taken into consideration. But first, what are the "green collar" jobs? The green collar jobs are connected to eco-friendly products, services and industry and examples can be given from most fields, such as recycling operations, alternative (renewable) energy resources such as wind or solar energy, cleaner technologies, green building, organic farming and so on.

In the present, the green industrial cluster comprises is the fifth largest market sector in the USA, so there is pretty much an abundance of green opportunities in these industries. And with some good qualification you can earn up to $52,000 per year in this green sector, so what's been keeping you from applying? There are some specialized sites which offer updated information regarding the available spots in the green industries, along with the job description and the eligibility criteria, so if you feel yourself luck enough, you should definitely give it a try.

Some of the top green jobs include the following: Hydrologist which can earn up to $52,000 annually, environmental engineer with around $50,000 or Pest Control Technician with a median annual income of $30,500. Being a Conservation Biologist will bring you up to $52, 500 per year while a job as an ecologist (yes, I know, it sounds pretty abstract and frankly, I don't have a clue what your daily tasks might be) will be rewarded with up to $69,000 per year (under these circumstances, I quit my job too!!!).

Some other money-worth green collar jobs include the Agriculture Inspector with a median annual income of $35,000 while a Pollution Control Engineer can earn as much as $66,000 per year.
