Green Home Products
There is no place like home, they say, and that is true. Your home is the place you feel most comfortable, is your comfort zone. Every person wishes to have a great big house with lots of facilities and utilities which would make life much comfortable for them: big screen TVs, whirlpool bathtubs and so on. Besides the costs for the energy bills, most of these devices also have a negative impact on the nature. They consume lots of energy and some of them are even polluting. The time has come to think about the nature instead of ourselves and to try and help it as much as possible.
There is a large variety of green home products which one could buy in order to save and protect the environment and in the same time reducing the costs. We live in times affected by financial crisis, so that should be a good reason to make this change more than ever.
Let’s start with the windows. You could buy windows which are xenon-gas-filled, and the fiberglass frames are made out of aerogel. By using such windows, an amazing R10 insulation value will be achieved. Because of this impressive insulation, the house will be heated much better, thus the costs for the heating bills will be reduced.

For taking care of your lawn, you have the option of using an electric lawnmower instead of a regular one. A regular lawnmower uses gas as fuel and that is very polluting. The problem with the electric lawnmowers was the fact that they did not had enough power, and they needed to be recharged very often. That problem has been solved now as most of the newer lawnmowers have autonomy of more than an hour, which is more than enough time to finish your job. When using an electric lawnmower instead of a regular the one, the noise will be reduced as well.

Wasted water is one of the most common problems, and most of the water is wasted when flushing the toilet. I am not saying that you shouldn’t flush it, as that would be very wrong, but you could install an AQUS gray-water system. This system diverts water from your sink to the toilet, and because of this more than 26 liters of water per person are saved each day.
The furniture can be environmental friendly as well. There are options of buying furniture made out of recycled materials such as milk jugs, plastic bottles, and so on. This type of furniture is very resistant and durable and best of all it can be let outside in harsh climate conditions without suffering any damages. There are even pieces of furniture made out of seatbelts. That is pretty surprising, right? Whatever it takes to save the Earth I guess. You too should replace some of your home products with the green home products.
