Green Products By Johnson & Johnson
Johnson & Johnson is a global American pharmaceutical and consumer packaged good manufacturer which started its activity in 1886. Over the years, the company gained the trust of its consumers by producing leading and quality drugs and products, and it was listed among the Fortune 500 most successful companies across the globe.
Its products are sold in over 175 countries and territories and the sales figure of pharmaceutical products in 2008 alone raised up to $24.6 billion, making it one of the most successful businesses.
Still, consumers from foreign countries might know the company better for the other marketed products, except drugs, such as shampoos or personal care products. The Johnson’s baby shampoo is one of the best sold products ever with a high reputation in the whole world, due to its natural ingredients and extracts used, as well as the perfect tolerance it has upon babies’ skin and scalp. Also, millions of people across the world with sensitive scalps as well as other skin allergies use the product and confirm it.

But the company is not only known for the Johnson’s baby products and brand, but it also includes some well-known other brands like Neutrogena skin and beauty products, Clean & Clear facial washes, as well as Band-Aid. And with so many successful brands under custody, no wonder that the company has gained reputation and appreciation. Still, the company is one of those which cares about investments and development, and it also cares about good investments. It recently blended into the eco and green trend, so it now finds alternative ways to consume energy more carefully and responsibly.
The environmental goals started for the J&J in 1987 and lead to 1999′s one of reducing CO2 emissions from facilities worldwide by 7% until 2010. Other green cares? The company now provides a rather improved range of eco, bio and organic prsonal care products to best fit the needs of its most diverse consumers, no matter the skin type or the age but it still has to work on this thing. Because, aside of direct implication in charity and raising funds campaign, the company also need to understand that it has to stop using chemical ingredients on the majority of its products, so that people could trust more into the quality and the non-harmful effects of the products.

Not saying that the J&J doesn’t make efforts to better cope with the whole eco trend and the green way to go, but it still lacks support from all chair members to actually start caring about the environment and lead more imposing campaigns to promote their green attempts. Still, the full range of products contain natural extracts and have true beneficial effects, but from that and until the point they will provide consumers with 100% green products there’s a long way and hopefully they will succeed to do that in the near future.
