Lower Rates Of Anxiety/depression And Poor Health Among People Living Near Green Space

It is well known that living green has become lately not only something people use to dream of, but more like a living style, adopted by many. It is also well known that people are getting sick and tired of the same excuses from authorities to do nothing concerning the environment, and they also got sick of living in over-crowded and massively polluted areas that affect daily life. This is why, people turned to nature again, embrassing it and wanting to contribute at re-creating a youthful, green environment that will not only benefit us, but also the ones following us, in the future.

From green products to bio products, organic cotton clothes, alternative energy sources and even green houses- everything has changed into an eco-friendly subject of our lives! And good for that. While some people are still struggling to get harsher laws upon those who don’t take nature in serious, some others already are trying to do better things, buy acting themselves. And what is the best way to take nature into consideration, then quitting your lousy poluted condo in the city and move to a greener area? You can also build the home you always wanted, by respecting nature in deed, using recycled materials and more efficient energy methods like the wind or solar energy. Those can really help you cut out bills, while producing an unlimited amount of energy. Not to mention they are infinite and help you keep the Earth greener.

Also, psychology experts studied alot the behaviour of people when reacting to certain stimuli, and they have come to the conclusion that green space around induces a calm status which helps people relax and feel better. The green space acts just like a wall between negative emotions and the human body, enhacing the body and the mind with ways of relaxation. People living near green spaces become more calm, peaceful and get over certain disappointments and stress more easily than people that live in polluted areas. So, it really doesn’t matter if you don’t have a whole forest besides you for introspection, a green plant or even a small bonsai on the desk can do wonders with the human spirit and daily problems.

Psychologists also made links between certain good side effects of the green area around people; it seems that people get lower rates of anxiety or depression and experience a better health when they sit next to green zones. This is why, experts often suggest on therapies that the subjects go to a quiet and green zone, especially parks or forests to re-connect with themselves and nature, while trying to maintain a balance between daily problems and a good health. All in all, especially poor health can be treated in green and fresh environments, so what are you waiting for to take a long walk in the park on a sunny day?
