Here are some tips on proper disposal of recyclable waste and what your small gestures mean.

The plastic

Recycling plastic reduces water consumption and reduces CO2 production by 2.5 times;

Each ton of the recycled plastic saves 700 to 800 tons of crude oil;

From the plastic packaging waste are obtained: carpet fibers, fillers for plush toys, sealants for sleeping bags, cases for CDs;

You can recycle drink containers, those for dairy products, of cosmetic products and detergents, plastic and polystyrene trays and plastic bags;

It is not collected selectively the caps of containers that are not made from plastic, plastic pots, mixed products (combination of plastic and metal).

Green Town Earth Recycled

The paper

One ton of paper waste saves five trees between 80-100 years old, or about five cubic meters of wooden mass needed for making an equivalent amount of cellulose;

Saving energy: waste paper processing is performed with an energy consumption of 2-3 times lower than when using cellulose fibers;

A tree absorbs up to 27 kilograms of pollutants a year;

It takes a 15 years tree to produce 700 paper bags;

You can recycle paper and cardboard packaging such as beverage cartons;

It is not selectively collected the waxed paper and mixed products (paper combined with metal);

The glass

Recycling one ton of glass packaging will save 660 kilograms of sand, a person’s energy consumption for a month, household water consumption of a person for a period of four days;

You can selectively collect beverage bottles and food containers, but no windows, mirrors, pots, lamps and glasses.

Green Town Earth Recycled

The metal

The metal is thrown into the same bin with plastic, the one marked with yellow;

You can recycle doses and containers of canned drinks.

These are little efforts that each one can do. Don’t do it because you have to, do it for you, your life, your health and most important, for the entire planet. If you want to have a green town and a green planet, all you have to do is to recycle! Be green, live green, live eco!

The electronics manufacturers have decided that the next-generation devices will be “green“. It is known that the electronics industry is a champion of environmental pollution. The information and communication technologies, according to the latest specialized studies, emit more carbon dioxide than the entire aviation industry put together. The European Union and other competent international bodies have already imposed some strict restrictions on toxic substances used in the electronics production, but the supply and the demand are becoming larger, which leads inevitably to a non-compliance issue. The environmentally harmful chemicals used in the electronics production are not yet fully replaceable.

In this respect, the Japanese company Fujitsu has introduced a portable computer built into a box made of a material obtained from corn, which has been sold since 2006 in the Land of the Rising Sun. The computer box is made from a mixture of corn and petroleum-based plastics, to provide resistance. Z-Power Company proposes, in turn, to replace the lithium battery of computers and mobile phones, which is recyclable, but unfortunately few of the metals contained in it are recoverable. This battery can be replaced with a silver and zinc one, which has a capacity with 20-30% greater.

Computers made of corn

The fact that in the composition of these batteries enters precious metals is an incentive for recycling companies. The General Director of Z-Power, Ross Dueber says that this product will power the laptops of a major global manufacturer and negotiate with companies that produce mobile phones. However, the computer manufacturers have made a progress in recycling their products. They reduced the number of materials from which are manufactured the computers, that greatly simplifies the recycling and they now use fewer solder joints with lead or other toxic materials. But some companies, including Sony recycle itself their waste.

In reality, this could mean that waste rather end up in a rubbish dump. For this reason, the U.S. environmental protection agency suggests consumers to more likely carry the phones and computers for recycling than return them to producers.

The environment, as it is presented to us today, is largely a creation of human,s but it may in turn influence the evolution of human society. The problem of environment protection is of major importance among many other problems of mankind and this because the environmental degradation often takes place under our eyes and it is due precisely to human intervention in nature.

Reducing, reusing and recycling are the fundamental principles of a green life. It is obvious what needs to be reduced. A fact of green living is reducing the level of garbage that we produce. By reducing the amount of garbage produced we also reduce the carbon emissions, limiting practically, the toxic substances that penetrates the environment and the trophic chain.

A fact of living green is to sort garbage. Garbage is sorted according to the nature of things thrown. It is important that the garbage to be sorted on the following categories of products: organic, recyclable and unrecyclable.

Organic products include leftover food such as meat, dairy products, cereals, fruits and vegetables and almost any damaged product that comes from a plant or animal. You can throw these things quiet and devoid of any sense of guilt.

Recyclable products include things such as plastic, paper, glass and metal. Different regions have recycling facilities for different materials. So, ask the sanitation department in your area what kind of materials they accept for recycling and familiarize yourself with their recycling protocol. Then, it all comes down to buying the goods produced and / or packaged with materials that can be recycled. Use these supplies as long as you can and then recycle them.

Unrecyclable products include things that are not organic and that cannot be recycled easily. For example: clothes, electronics, toys, games and things made of different materials. You can dismember some of these things to recycle their components. You can donate some of these things. Or try not to throw them, finding them a new use.

The way you recycle the multitude of objects used is limited only by your own imagination. On our way to a greener lifestyle, it’s all about changing and reversing the current course of events against which we all “swim” now. It is the responsibility of those already actively involved in an ecological way of life to show others that it is not necessarily so difficult to live green so that more people can be persuaded to ignore the temptations of materialism and do what is right.

Every action which we enterprise regarding the environment has a direct effect on us. To live green is a recommended alternative solution, in response to the aggression on the environment produced in recent years. You do not have to be a perfect environmentalist to do simple things for nature. It is only needed a little interest and a little care for the environment. The main way to show your concern for nature is recycling. To recycle means to act for a green life. You do not need to have solid knowledge about ecology to recycle; you just have to own some basic about how to recycle. Below you will find some useful tips that will help to recycle and reuse products.

For large household items such as washing machines, refrigerators, televisions and computers, things get complicated. Disassembling these things can be dangerous and should therefore be left to professionals.

Furniture can be dismantled, repaired or donated. Another alternative to buying new sofas and armchairs is repairing old ones. Although these methods can be expensive, are certainly cheaper than buying new items.

Toothbrushes can be reused as cleaning utensils or for the shoe cream; it fits excellent between the difficult folds of shoes.

Plastic boxes with lids from food can be reused for storing other foods.

Old towels, sheets and shirts can be converted into rags to clean the house or the garage.

Metal cans and other unrecyclable empty boxes can be turned into flower pots.

Plastic bags from the supermarket can be used for garbage.

Books, magazines and other reading material that cannot be recycled can be donated to a school or local library or you can use a little imagination to make different interior design collages.

Old or damaged trash containers and buckets of washable paint can be used for the garden or yard waste.

Non rechargeable batteries, cell phones and other small electronic devices can be donated or recycled at local electronics stores.

Bricks and wood materials can be used for landscaping gardens and courtyards.

From the floor and wall tiles from bathroom or kitchen that were removed you can make concrete yard decoration mosaics, clay pots, tray tables for flowers or garden furniture and even redesign old facades.

Glass bottles and jars can be recycled or used as decorations by filling them with colored sand.

Old shoes can be used in gardens, workshops, or for outdoor activities: camping, canoeing, fishing or other activities where you do not want dirty your best shoes.

Building your own home sounds like a dream to just everyone you ask. From foundation to the roof, backyard to interiors, imagine how fun (and so much work) would it be to create your dream home. And while many still prefer the life in condos in over-crowded cities, some others take into consideration the alternative, the sub-urbs house. A place where you can have enough room for a nice backyard, maybe with a little fountain or a waterfall, dozens of trees and flowers blooming everywhere. A green place is almost a luxury for many of us in our days, but what if we could build our own green home?

There are plenty of developers now that offer green projects, with houses built on your direct specifications, but which also respect the environment and help keeping the nature clean. So, if this sounds appealing for you and you are looking to have your own home in the near feature, maybe some of the following will come in hand:

If you go to www.greenisuniversal.com you will have a nice surprise; built on a rather simple platform, there is also the option to play an online game in which you can design your perfect house, as green and ecological as you want. In the very constructive game you have a budget of 100,000 dollars and some features to chose from, so that you can create the best house, using the minimum of resources and making it as effective as possible. Besides the fact that allows you to spend around 5-10 minutes of constructive time, you can also learn some important values from the game such as the best materials to build from, each clime, its goods and drawbacks and, of course, the best ways to produce or recycle energy in order to have low-prices bills and maximum efficiency. So that, you find out things about best green materials like wood, brick, earthen or recycled. Using alternative energy items such as solar panels, heating, wind power generators or hydroelectricity will make your construction up to 300% more efficient than a common home that uses non of the above. In terms of efficiency items, buying energy efficient lightning or using recycled materials will also help you have a greener house. Using the smart home technology will help you save wasted energy, water and heating.

All in all, the game doesn’t have the purpose to entertain only, but to draw a message to those of you interesting in building a green house that respects nature and the environment, and which will also make you spend less money on monthly charges. Not to mention it will provide you with unlimited sources of energy that you can later use to power an intelligent system that will run through your entire home, from refrigerator to computer, AC and loads more.

There are lots of changes you could make when it comes to living green and you might know some of them, since the topic is getting more and more popular and mediated all over the world. The changes you need to make are not that big, some of them are also very simple and obvious as well. You don’t have to sacrifice your entire comfort in order to live the green life. In this article I will present you some information regarding forever living green.

As I said, the changes are numerous when it comes to the green lifestyle. Since you might own a car and use it very often, there are some tricks you can do in order to protect the environment and your pocket as well. Make sure that it is kept in great condition. This means that you should change the oil and air filters very often, keep your tires properly inflated, drive slower and respect the speed limit. You will use far less fuel when you apply these little tactics.

When you have to wait for a minute or two never leave your car running because it will use much more fuel when it is in idle mode. Completely turn it off and you will see the benefits. The advisable thing to do would be to use a bicycle or walk if the destination is short because besides being helpful for the environment you will also get healthier.

Changes can be made when it comes to food and eating habits as well. You should always choose the organic food which is produced at the organic farms. Such food comes from animals which have not been treated with growth hormones or any other similar chemicals during their lifetime. It doesn’t contain as many preservatives as the regular one and it is more nutritious. The fresh food doesn’t have to be more expensive because you can buy it wholesale from the Farmer’s Markets. You will save almost 75% more money by shopping wholesale at these markets.

When you have to throw something away it is always better to throw it in a recycling bin. Buy a recycling bin which you could have near your house, and throw the garbage accordingly. You don’t have to make too much of an effort to throw paper at the paper section, and so on. A great idea when living green is to have as many plants as possible.

I am not talking about turning your house into a jungle, buy as many as you can without sacrificing your comfort. They will cleanse the air by removing any pollutants from it. You can also make your own garden whether you live at a house or an apartment. These are just some of the tips when it comes to forever living green.

One of the changes one could make when it comes to protecting the environment is to follow a future green job career. The number of available green jobs is on a constant rise because people realize that the benefits of such jobs are great both for the environment and for the one who does it

. Besides getting paid, the one who has such a green job will have the satisfaction of protecting the environment. In what follows I am going to present you the future green jobs, jobs might be very popular in the following years.

The energy efficient builder might be a very lucrative and important job in the future. Almost 50% of the energy used in the United States of America is consumed by the buildings. Besides this massive energy consumption these buildings are very polluting, more exactly the process of building them is. Almost 50.000 people work in the domain, which is run by LEED, the Leadership in Energy and Environment Design

There are similar certificates such as LEED, which is only available in the United States of America, in several countries around the world. Passivhaus and MINERGIE-P are the ecological standards in Germany, respectively Switzerland, and in these countries a building will use between 80% and 95% less heat than in the States.

The conservation biologist will be one of the most important jobs in the near future because this job comes with a deadline so to say, because it is very urgent to solve the problems related to the environment and the eco-system throughout the world. A job in recycling will most likely mean an assured job in the future as there are more than 1 million such jobs in the US alone. The demand for steel is increasing even if the demand for plastic and paper has diminished. More than 200.000 people work in the steel recycling domain throughout the world and the number is on a constant rise.

The urban planer job will be one of the most craved jobs but this is aimed for those who have knowledge in architecture. The job of an urban planer is to develop and outline the spaces in town and cities. Basically he is the guy that decides where and it what positions should the buildings be placed. This means that he will cooperate with the city officials a lot. He is also responsible for making sure that industry standards are being kept when the construction is being built. As I’ve said, this is one of the most craved jobs because besides being paid well, it is a job that allows great control when it comes to planning

Green living is a concept which deals with the necessity of protecting the environment which is very important for all of us nowadays as it influences the way in which we all live and we should all influence it positively so as for us to be able to have a good quality life.

We cannot pretend to have a good life if we do not assure ourselves of its quality and this cannot be done without protecting the environment and without taking care of what kind of decisions we take every day and on what kind of lifestyle we decide to adopt. Every small decision concerning our diet, the products that we eat and use, the amount and type of energy we use and many others are all important in determining the quality of life on earth and in this way the quality of our lives.

If we want to be able to live properly we have to be interested in ways in which this can be made possible. Many ideas are included within the concept of green living and we should all be interested in them and try and put as many such ideas as possible to practice. Recycling is also important to be mentioned when discussing about green living as it is very important and should also be of great interest to us. We should all be aware of the necessity for good recycling to be done by all of us so as for the environment not to be damaged anymore by throwing things away without taking in consideration the effect that these actions can have.

In this respect, it should also be mentioned the necessity and the importance of using recycling waste these days because it presents lots of environmental benefits which in the end will determine for life benefits to be entailed for all of us. For example, recycling paper as one of the aspects related to the green living concept will help us protect the natural environment by protecting the trees used for creating paper and by decreasing the demand of trees in this respect.

Recycling is very important from this point of view and a fundamental aspect related to the green living concept and we should all become aware of it and we should all take it in account if we want to be able to improve the quality of life on earth so as to improve our health and the way in which we can all enjoy living surrounded by a clean environment. When discussing about recycling as an important aspect in the green living concept it should also be mentioned the fact that there have been created many latest recycling technologies which enable us to use recycled types of fiber. Two examples are represented by the Know waste technology and the carpet fiber type of recycling technology.

The first has been created in the idea of offering global solutions for a proper waste disposal management. It relates to hygienic type of products which should be held within a Know waste type of plant which should be able to sterilize these products and in the end to separate each of the components which might be reused in order to be produced recycled fiber in various forms. The latter deals with a technology related to the use of recycled types of fibers such as the nylon. Both of these latest technologies in recycling, an important aspects related to the green living concept are important to be analyzed as certain interesting and useful ideas can be considered from them.

Recycling is vital in a world in which green living should be a concept followed by all of us if we want to improve the quality of life on earth and in this way the quality of our own lives.
