What Is Green Energy
The information in this article is intended to provide you with some useful facts regarding the green technology. I’m going to start with the obvious, and that is by giving you a brief definition about the term “green energy”. So what is green energy? Green energy is the type of energy that doesn’t have a negative impact on the nature, and if it does, this impact is very low. The green energy is also called renewable. The energy which is being used today by more than 90% of people is non-renewable energy. The fossil fuels such as coal, oil, and natural gas are non-renewable and they are very harmful to the nature.
The renewable sources of energy or the green energy comes from various sources. The most popular types of green energy are solar, wind, geothermal, hydro, and biomass. The aim of the green energy is to create power while causing as less damage to the environment as possible. The extraction of the green source will pollute, as that can’t be avoided, but it will pollute less than in the case of the regular sources.

Let’s take a closer look at each of these sources. The solar power can be used whether by installing solar panels or by installing solar hot water panels. The panels can be used for generating electricity, heating water, and for lots of other uses. The organic matter that results from decomposition whether if it is from plants or from fertilizers is called biomass and it can be also used in order to provide energy.
The wind’s power can be used by installing windmills or wind turbines. They can easily by installed on roofs or even in the yard, but they should be installed only in the places where the wind power is high. There is no reason to install a wind turbine in a place where the wind rarely blows.

The geothermal energy is using the energy provided by the hot water deposits which can be found bellow the Earth’s layer and is also a great source for an alternative energy. If you live near a stream, then you can take full advantage of the water by installing a hydro power plant. You can also use bio-fuels such as ethanol in order to provide energy for your home. The ethanol is pretty easy to obtain, you can even create it in your own home.
Another great source of alternative energy is the hydrogen which is found in many organic compounds and water of course. The problem is that the hydrogen can’t be found at a gas in its natural state and certain processes are required for it to be obtained. Once the processes are over, the hydrogen makes a great choice of green energy. I hope that this article made you understand what green energy is.
